Public Hearing/ Public Comments

6232 Athens Street , for proposed annexation and rezoning at 6232 Athens Street on 202.22 Acres from Hall County Agricultural to Planned Residential Development PRD.
As a reminder, the City Planning Commission, and the Mayor or Council have not taken a position “for” or “against” these requests at the time of this hearing. The city encourages your participation in this process (as prescribed by law) and welcomes your involvement. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

- Buildable Acreage vs. Gross Acreage
- Set Maximum Limits on residential zoning density on future land use map
- Access to existing streets to/ for future development, (Subdivision Regulations)
- Discussion to specify city council must approve density above set limits for residential districts .
- Reminder the city council has chosen to make improvements to the council chambers over the coming months, all public meetings of the council and or the Lula Planning Commission will take place at the Lula “ Depot” until further notice. The improvements include renovation to the chambers and restrooms, and the placement of audio / visual equipment so future public hearings can be available for public viewing.
- UPDATE The City Council is completing the interview process for candidates to the planning commission and hopefully will bring their recommendation to the City Council for approval in May.
