Water Service Interruption and Boiled Water Advisory
Scheduled for Wednesday April 19th, 2023.
Door Hangers will be placed at each residence on Tuesday.
The city is having to perform water system maintenance by replacing a inoperative fire hydrant in Morgan Manor. Due to the extent of the work the city will have to turn off the water as early as Wednesday morning (April 19th) at 10 AM. Also due to the nature of the work the city must issue a boil water advisory after completion of the work, as a cautionary procedure. The Boil Water Advisory will require the water in the system (pipe) to be tested, 24 hours after the work has been completed. At that time the sample test is taken for lab analysis and the city must wait for the results before the city can lift the advisory.
We realize the inconvenience this presents and ask for you’re understanding as this is procedural requirement and ensures a safe water system.
We will place a door hanger on everyone’s door once the advisory is lifted.
