Assistant City Manager/ Planner

The City of Lula Mayor and Council is again opening the opportunity in seeking a professional for the position of Assistant City Manager/Planner, responsible for providing assistance and support to the City Manager including analyzing and implementing policies and procedures; overseeing intergovernmental relations in the area of service delivery and legislative issues; and providing responsible staff assistance to the City Manager, City Council, and department heads.
Applicants would benefit from having a bachelor’s degree in city, Urban, Regional Planning, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or three to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The City of Lula is located in Hall and Banks County, experiencing significant economic growth north of Atlanta and influenced by Lake Lanier and the 365 corridor. Lula has a growing population of 2,900 and provides a full-service city with water and sewer, solid waste, code enforcement, and roads maintenance.
The Mayor and Council are seeking an assistant city manager who can provide leadership in policy formulation and implementation. The successful candidate will report to the city manager.
The salary range is between $65,000 and $86,000 (exempt), will be determined by the criteria listed above.
