A special election shall be held on May 21, 2024 from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM for the purpose of
electing the following City of Lula office:
Council Member (District 3)
to fill the unexpired term through the first regular Council Meeting in December 2025. Voting
shall be at the regular polling place for Lula voters residing in Hall County and Banks County,
which is First Baptist Church of Lula, 5767 Maiden Lane, Lula, Georgia 30554
The qualifying period for this office shall be Monday, February 19, 2024 through Wednesday,
February 21, 2024 from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM each day at City Hall, 6055 Main Street, Lula.
The qualifying fee is $100.00.
The voter registration deadline for this election is April 22, 2024.
Advance voting for this election shall begin Monday, April 29, 2024 and continue until Friday,
May 17, 2024 and shall include Saturday, May 4, 2024 and Saturday, May 11, 2024 at East Hall
Community Center, 3911 P Davidson Road Gainesville, Georgia. Monday – Friday hours for
voting shall be from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M. April 29, 2024 through May 10, 2024 and from 7:00
A.M. until 7:00 P.M. May 13, 2024 through May 17, 2024 and on Saturdays from 9 A.M. until 5
P.M. Absentee ballot requests will be available at the Hall Government Center, 2875 Browns
Bridge Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 beginning March 4, 2024.
If a run-off election is necessary, then the run-off election shall be held on June 18, 2024.
