During the March 16th Regular City Council Meeting the City council, temporarily suspended water and sewer disconnections for a period of 30 days (April 15th) for overdue account balances. As the city strives to continue to provide essential services during this difficult period, the city also recognizes the reality of these challenging times, we will continue to monitor the situation related to the spread and effects of the Coronavirus and take action when deemed appropriate. The City would encourage utility customers to contact the city about possible payment options in advance so we can begin to understand indidvial needs and situations and offset additional late charges if possible.

Due to evolving concerns related to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Lula has announced that it will be closing City Hall to the public access for the foreseeable future as we all attempt to limit the spread of the Coronavirus by reducing public exposure. The health of our employees, their families, and the general public is our highest priority, and this action is taken in an abundance of caution.
At this time, all City of Lula employees will continue to report to work, and departments will remain open. The City intends to maintain essential functions and services at full capacity. The public will be able to contact departments at City Hall by phone.
The City of Lula is requesting that individuals seeking to deal with City-related business do so remotely when possible, online, by phone, or delay any business that requires in-person interaction with City of Lula employees until a future date. The City would also encourage our online payment option (https://www.cityoflulapmts.com or call INCourt at 877-685-4495 . The City Hall “Drop Box” can be utilized for “Payments” with a preference to using use of checks or money orders rather than cash. Or utilize payments by mail to City of Lula, P O Box 99, Lula, Georgia 30554.
Individuals encountering urgent, time-sensitive situations requiring the attention of City of Lula staff are advised to contact Lula City Hall during regular business hours at 770-869-3801 to determine if an accommodation can be made.
As there are no confirmed or presumptive cases of coronavirus in Lula at this time, this measure is precautionary, and is intended to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus locally and avoid widespread disruptions to City services.
The City will closely monitor the status of coronavirus locally to determine when City buildings can safely re-open to the public.

The City of Lula was recognized by the Hall County Chamber of Commerce and Jackson EMC the quarterly Business Beautification Award for recent the “DEPOT” Renovation. And now with Phase 2 of the property improvements well underway the best is yet to come! with new sidewalks, greenway, Stage improvements, and added parking the venue will host many more community events.
